Update (9 February 2023): LINCCS at CLIMIT Summit 2023: Working to decarbonise oil and gas production
On 9 February 2023, LINCCS will present on the second day of the 2023 CLIMIT Summit.
The project will be represented by Rikard Kinn (Aker Solutions), who will speak about LINCCS’ work to develop a conceptual design of an offshore power hub that can support the energy needs of existing oil & gas platforms. This work is being conducted in subproject 1 “Compact, low OPEX offshore CO2 capture”, which aims to develop unmanned CO2 capture technology with low operating expenses (OPEX) for decarbonising natural gas production.
CLIMIT is Norway’s national programme for the research, development and demonstration of CO2 capture and storage technology (CCS). Their annual summit enables visitors to hear from CLIMIT-supported projects, as well as updates from other areas of CCS. This year’s summit is entitled “Beyond Longship”, and will therefore focus on the status of Longship – the Norwegian government’s first full-scale CCS project.
When: 9 February 2023, 09:00-09:10
Where: Bølgen Kulturhus, Larvik
