On 26 January 2023, Aker Solutions as the LINCCS project owner conducted an audit of Wärtsilä Moss, in order to safeguard that LINCCS cost spending is in accordance with the state-aid funding requirements. This is the first of a sequence of similar audits of the LINCCS partners and R&D providers.
Wärtsilä Moss currently has a good understanding of state aid regulations, and has good control systems in place, which gives extra confidence with regards to the costs communicated throughout the project. The audit also provided a good environment to discuss and align methods adopted when interpreting state aid regulations.
In addition, given the length of this project, having such audits periodically aims to minimize misinterpretation or wrong data communication as early as possible.
